Abstract
A shielding strip generally includes a longitudinally extending central region and at least one transversely extending slot along the longitudinally extending central region. The slot has at least one enlarged portion at about at about a predetermined area of high stress concentration.
Claims23
A shielding strip including a longitudinally extending central region and an array of transversely extending slots along the longitudinally extending central region, each said slot having a terminus with a larger cross section than said slot such that the terminuses are at alternating ends of the slots.
A shielding strip including a longitudinally extending central region and at least one transversely extending slot along the longitudinally extending central region, the slot having at least one enlarged portion with a larger cross section than said slot at about at least one predetermined area of high stress concentration.
A method of making a shielding strip having a longitudinally extending central region, the method comprising forming at least one transversely extending slot along the longitudinally extending central region such that the slot includes at least one enlarged portion at about at least one predetermined area of high stress concentration.
