Component mounting machine and control method

A component mounter comprising:

• an acquisition section configured to acquire, for a component supplied to a collection position of a component supply device configured to supply the component to be mounted on a board, component identification information from an identification member having the component identification information capable of identifying the component;
• the component supply device configured to transmit a first completion notification for notifying that the component has been supplied to the collection position for an operation of acquiring the component identification information by the acquisition section, or a second completion notification for notifying that the component has been supplied to the collection position for a collection operation of collecting and holding the component;
• and
• an operation control section configured to control the operation of acquiring the component identification information by the acquisition section based on the first completion notification and the operation of collecting the component based on the second completion notification.
