System for securing a computing system in a host infrastructure

A securing system, comprising:

• a first securing sub-system;
• and
• a second securing sub-system coupled to first securing sub-system via a synchronous movement link, wherein each of the first securing sub-system and the second securing sub-system comprises:
• a lever;
• an idler gear engaged with the lever, wherein the idler gear is rotatable due to a pivotal movement of the lever;
• and
• a cam assembly engaged with the idler gear is movable due to a rotational movement of the idler gear, wherein the cam assembly comprises:
• an insertion cam comprising a cam body and a cantilevered arm extending from the cam body, wherein the cantilevered arm is deformable when the cantilevered arm contacts a restrictive structure;
• and
• a load support member disposed on the insertion cam, wherein a portion of the load support member is offset from an open end of the cantilevered arm to limit deformation of the cantilevered arm,
• wherein the synchronous movement link is engaged with the idler gear such that the rotational movement of the idler gear causes linear movements within the synchronous movement link.

An electronic system, comprising:

• a housing enclosing one or more electronic components;
• and
• a securing sub-system coupled to the housing to secure the housing on a rack, the securing sub-system comprising:
• a lever;
• and
• a cam assembly engaged with the lever and movable due to a pivotal movement of the lever, wherein the cam assembly comprises:
• an insertion cam comprising a cam body and a cantilevered arm extending from the cam body, wherein the cantilevered arm is deformable when the cantilevered arm contacts a restrictive structure;
• and
• a load support member disposed on the insertion cam, wherein a portion of the load support member is offset from an open end of the cantilevered arm to limit deformation of the cantilevered arm.
