Systems and methods for the use of fraud prevention fluid to prevent chip fraud

A method of making a chip fraud prevention device, the method comprising the steps of:

• providing a substrate;
• forming a chip pocket in the substrate, the chip pocket including a surface;
• forming a pattern on the surface of the chip pocket;
• adhering a capsule shaped to accommodate the pattern to the surface;
• and
• positioning a chip at least partially within the chip pocket.

A chip fraud prevention system, comprising:

• a substrate;
• a chip pocket formed in the substrate, the chip pocket including a surface formed in a pattern;
• a chip at least partially encompassed in the chip pocket;
• and
• a capsule at least partially encompassed in the chip pocket,
• wherein the capsule is shaped to accommodate the pattern.

A contactless card, comprising:

• a substrate comprising a chip pocket, the chip pocket including a surface formed in a pattern;
• a chip at least partially encompassed in the chip pocket;
• and
• a capsule at least partially encompassed in the chip pocket,
• wherein the pattern comprises at least one selected from the group of a peak and a valley, and
• wherein the capsule is shaped to accommodate the pattern.
