Abstract
Disclosed embodiments provide laser object marking methods and devices in which multiple slidable mechanisms are used for holding respective laser heads.
Claims35
A laser marking device comprising:
- a transport mechanism for transporting at least one object;
- a support structure arranged to support a plurality of laser heads for marking the at least one transported object, the laser support structure comprising:
- a plurality of slidable mechanisms, wherein each slidable mechanism is configured to hold a respective one of the plurality of laser heads and to slide from an engaged position where an object can be marked to a disengaged position where the laser head is accessible.
A method of operating a laser marking device, the method comprising:
- transporting at least one object across a laser marking device comprising a plurality of spaced laser heads supported by respective slidable mechanisms;
- marking the at least one object using at least one of the plurality of laser heads.
A system for manufacturing photovoltaic modules, the system comprising:
- a laser marking device comprising:
- a transport system for transporting a plurality of substrates;
- a plurality of laser heads for marking the plurality of substrates;
- and
- a support structure arranged to support the plurality of laser heads, the support structure comprising a plurality of slidable mechanisms, wherein each slidable mechanism is configured to hold a respective one of the plurality of laser heads and to slide from an engaged position where a substrate can be marked to a disengaged position.
