Abstract
Techniques to transfer large collection containers in a large payload support system comprising one or more components configured to request a support server device for delivery location information, receive from the support server device delivery location information, aggregate at least one performance container stored in a performance datastore into a performance collection container based at least partially on the associated start time parameter and end time parameter, and transfer the performance collection container to a payload server device based at least partially on the delivery location information. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
Claims20
A computer-implemented method, comprising:
- requesting a support server device for delivery location information of a performance collection container by a polling component of a cluster node of a networked storage system that periodically polls the support server device for requests for performance collection containers received by the support server device;
- receiving from the support server device delivery location information and a payload parameter indicating whether the performance collection container is a large container or a small container based on a size of the performance collection container;
- generating the performance collection container comprising performance information based at least partially on an associated start time parameter and an end time parameter;
- delivering the performance collection container to a load balancer that selects a payload server device based on whether the performance container is a large container or a small container and delivers the performance collection container to the payload server device based at least partially on the delivery location information;
- verifying integrity of the performance collection container by the payload server device using container integrity information received with the delivered performance collection container and generated container integrity information.
A system, comprising:
- a processor circuit;
- and
- memory operatively coupled to the processor circuit, the memory comprising storage operating system components executed by the processor circuit to:
- request a support server device for delivery location information of a performance collection container by a polling component of a cluster node of a networked storage system that periodically polls the support server device for requests for performance collection containers received by the support server device;
- receiving from the support server device delivery location information and a payload parameter indicating whether the performance collection container is a large container or a small container based on a size of the performance collection container;
- generating the performance collection container comprising performance information based at least partially on an associated start time parameter and an end time parameter;
- delivering the performance collection container to a load balancer that selects a payload server device based on whether the performance container is a large container or a small container and delivers the performance collection container to the selected payload server device based at least partially on the delivery location information;
- verifying integrity of the performance collection container by the payload server device using container integrity information received with the delivered performance collection container and generated container integrity information.
At least one non-transitory computer-readable storage medium comprising instructions that, when executed, cause a system to:
- request a support server device for delivery location information of a diagnostic collection container by a polling component of a cluster node of a networked storage system that periodically polls the support server device for requests for diagnostic collection containers received by the support server device;
- receiving from the support server device delivery location information and a payload parameter indicating whether the diagnostic collection container is a large container or a small container based on a size of the diagnostic collection container;
- generating the diagnostic collection container comprising diagnostic information based at least partially on an associated start time parameter and an end time parameter;
- delivering the diagnostic collection container to a load balancer that selects a payload server device based on whether the diagnostic container is a large container or a small container and delivers the diagnostic collection container to the selected payload server device based at least partially on the delivery location information;
- and
- verifying integrity of the diagnostic collection container by the payload server device using container integrity information received with the delivered diagnostic collection container and generated container integrity information.
