Switchable diplexer with physical layout to provide improved isolation

A switchable diplexer, comprising:

• a first primary switch comprising a common terminal and M selectable terminals;
• a first set of M secondary switches, each secondary switch comprising a common terminal and N selectable terminals, wherein the common terminal of each switch in the first set of M secondary switches is connected to one of the selectable terminals of the first primary switch;
• a second primary switch comprising a common terminal and M selectable terminals;
• a second set of M secondary switches, each secondary switch comprising a common terminal and N selectable terminals, wherein the common terminal of each switch in the second set of M secondary switches is connected to one of the selectable terminals of the second primary switch;
• and
• a plurality of bandpass filters arranged in M groups of N bandpass filters, a first of said M groups comprising at least one E-band bandpass filter having a passband between 475 MHz and 675 MHz and at least one F-band bandpass filter having a passband between 650 MHz and 875 MHz, the at least one E-band bandpass filter and the at least one F-band bandpass filter being electrically arranged in parallel relation to one another, and a second of said M groups comprising at least one D-band bandpass filter having a passband between 1125 MHz and 1675 MHz and at least one D-low band bandpass filter having a passband between 1125 MHz and 1225 MHz, the at least one D-band bandpass filter and the at least one D-low band bandpass filter being electrically arranged in parallel relation to one another, each bandpass filter having a first terminal connected to one of the N selectable terminals of one of the first set of M secondary switches and a second terminal connected to one of the N selectable terminals of a corresponding one of the second set of M secondary switches;
• and
• wherein at least one group of the M groups comprises a first filter and a second filter, wherein the first filter has a high rejection range that is outside a passband of the second filter and the second filter has a high rejection range that is outside a passband of the second filter.
