A novel maize variety designated X08K251 and seed, plants and plant parts thereof are produced by crossing inbred maize varieties. Methods for producing a maize plant by crossing hybrid maize variety X08K251 with another maize plant are disclosed. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into X08K251 through backcross conversion and/or transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby. This invention relates to the maize variety X08K251, the seed, the plant produced from the seed, and variants, mutants, and minor modifications of maize variety X08K251. This invention further relates to methods for producing maize varieties derived from maize variety X08K251.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X08K251, representative seed produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH2F4W with a second plant of variety PH2F5C, wherein representative seed of the varieties PH2F4W and PH2F5C have been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-124065 and PTA-124066, respectively.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X08K251 further comprising at least a first transgene, representative seed produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH2F4W with a second plant of variety PH2F5C, wherein representative seed of the varieties PH2F4W and PH2F5C have been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-124065 and PTA-124066, respectively.
An F1 hybrid maize variety X08K251 seed further comprising a locus conversion, the seed being produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH2F4W with a second plant of variety PH2F5C;
