A novel maize variety designated X08K238 and seed, plants and plant parts thereof are produced by crossing inbred maize varieties. Methods for producing a maize plant by crossing hybrid maize variety X08K238 with another maize plant are disclosed. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into X08K238 through backcross conversion and/or transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby. This invention relates to the maize variety X08K238, the seed, the plant produced from the seed, and variants, mutants, and minor modifications of maize variety X08K238. This invention further relates to methods for producing maize varieties derived from maize variety X08K238.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X08K238, representative seed produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH2DNP with a second plant of variety PH25T1, wherein representative seed of the varieties PH2DNP and PH25T1 have been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-124160 and PTA-123724, respectively.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X08K238 further comprising at least a first transgene, representative seed produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH2DNP with a second plant of variety PH25T1, wherein representative seed of the varieties PH2DNP and PH25T1 have been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-124160 and PTA-123724, respectively, and wherein the transgene has been introduced into at least one of variety PH2DNP and variety PH25T1.
An F1 hybrid maize variety X08K238 seed further comprising a locus conversion, the seed being produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH2DNP with a second plant of variety PH25T1;
