Endoscope apparatus for outputting signals corresponding to first and second narrowband wavelength bands

An endoscope apparatus comprising:

• a light source configured to radiate, to a part under an epithelium of a living mucosa of a subject, at least:
• a first light having a first wavelength band having a narrowband spectral characteristic in a range consisting essentially of a wavelength of 585 nm to a wavelength of 615 nm;
• and
• a second light having a second wavelength band having a narrowband spectral characteristic in a range consisting essentially of a wavelength of 610 nm to a wavelength of 730 nm;
• and
• one or more processors comprising hardware, wherein the one or more processors are configured to:
• control an image sensor to:
• receive a first reflected light of the first light, and output a first image pickup signal based on the first reflected light;
• receive a second reflected light of the second light, and output a second image pickup signal based on the second reflected light;
• and
• output, to a display, at least:
• a first image signal for display based on the first image pickup signal;
• and
• a second image signal for display based on the second image pickup signal,
• wherein the first image signal for display is configured to be displayed to have a different visual characteristic than the second image signal for display.
