Upper body garment with infant pouch

An upper body garment for supporting an infant adjacent the chest and upper belly of a wearer, the garment comprising

• a tubular body comprising a front panel and a back panel, the front panel extending upward from a bottom edge of the tubular body located proximate the waist of the wearer to an upper edge of the front panel located proximate the chest of the wearer;
• a breast panel extending from a top portion of the back panel and over the shoulders and chest of the wearer to a lower edge located proximate the chest of the wearer;
• and
• a pouch panel extending downward from the lower edge of the breast panel, between the front panel and the back panel, to a bottom edge of the pouch panel located proximate a mid-belly of the wearer,
• the bottom edge of the pouch panel being secured to an inside surface of the front panel to define a pouch having a bottom seam spaced from the bottom edge of the tubular body and a top opening defined by the upper edge of the front panel.
