Abstract
A method for producing polarized eyewear is disclosed, which includes providing a polarizing film or a blank of the eyewear having a polarizing film, whereby the polarizing film is made of a substrate film and a polarizing agent; dipping the polarizing film or the blank with the polarizing film into a solvent; and dissolving the polarizing agent from the polarizing film.
Claims18
A method for producing polarized eyewear, comprising:
- providing a polarizing film or an eyewear blank having the polarizing film, wherein the polarizing film includes a substrate film and a polarizing agent;
- dipping the polarizing film or the blank having the polarizing film into a solvent;
- and,
- dissolving the polarizing agent from the polarizing film,
- wherein the polarizing film or the blank having the polarizing film is dipped into the solvent for a duration of from 30 minutes to 250 minutes and the temperature of the solvent is kept between 15° C. and 38° C.
