Syringe

A method of operating a syringe for injecting an injection objective substance into an injection target area of a living body without using any injection needle, the method including:

• providing, within the syringe, an enclosing unit which encloses the injection objective substance;
• providing, within the syringe, an ignition device including an ignition charge configured to generate a plasma having a high temperature and a high pressure by a combustion after ignition of the ignition charge, wherein the generated high pressure is subsequently lowered when a gas component is released at a temperature at which a combustion product is condensed;
• providing, within the syringe, a combustion chamber into which the combustion product produced by combustion of the ignition charge is allowed to flow, the combustion chamber including a gas generating agent to be combusted by the combustion product to produce a predetermined gas;
• providing, within the syringe, a pressurizing unit which pressurizes the injection objective substance enclosed in the enclosing unit;
• and
• providing, within a syringe, a flow passage unit which defines a flow passage so that the injection objective substance, which is pressurized by the pressurizing unit, is allowed to inject to the injection target area,
• pressurizing by the pressurizing unit in a first pressurizing mode in which a pressure applied to the injection objective substance in the pressurizing unit is raised to a first peak pressure in order to allow the injection objective substance to penetrate through a surface of the injection target area, and then the pressure applied to the injection objective substance is lowered to a waiting pressure;
• and
• pressurizing by the pressurizing unit in a second pressurizing mode in which the injection objective substance having the waiting pressure is pressurized so that the pressure applied to the injection objective substance is raised to a second peak pressure to inject a predetermined injection amount of the injection objective substance,
• wherein an increase in pressure to the first peak pressure in the first pressurizing mode is generated by the combustion of the ignition charge in the ignition device and wherein an increase in pressure to the second peak pressure in the second pressurizing mode is brought about by the predetermined gas produced by the gas generating agent.

A syringe for injecting an injection objective substance into an injection target area of a living body without using any injection needle, the syringe comprising:

• means for enclosing the injection objective substance;
• means for igniting an ignition charge to generate a plasma having a high temperature and a high pressure by a combustion of the ignition charge, wherein the generated high pressure is subsequently lowered when a gas component is released at a temperature at which a combustion product is condensed;
• means for housing the combustion product produced by combustion of the ignition charge is allowed to flow, the means for housing the combustion product including a gas generating agent to be combusted by the combustion product to produce a predetermined gas;
• means for pressurizing the injection objective substance enclosed in the means for enclosing;
• and
• means for providing flow to the injection objective substance, which is pressurized by the means for pressurizing, to the injection target area,
• pressurizing by the means for pressurizing in a first pressurizing mode in which a pressure applied to the injection objective substance in the means for pressurizing is raised to a first peak pressure in order to allow the injection objective substance to penetrate through a surface of the injection target area, and then the pressure applied to the injection objective substance is lowered to a waiting pressure;
• and
• pressurizing by the means for pressurizing in a second pressurizing mode in which the injection objective substance having the waiting pressure is pressurized so that the pressure applied to the injection objective substance is raised to a second peak pressure to inject a predetermined injection amount of the injection objective substance,
• wherein an increase in pressure to the first peak pressure in the first pressurizing mode is generated by the combustion of the ignition charge in the means for igniting and wherein an increase in pressure to the second peak pressure in the second pressurizing mode is brought about by the predetermined gas produced by the gas generating agent.

A method of manufacturing a syringe for injecting an injection objective substance in an injection target area of a living body without using any injection needle, the method including:

• providing, within the syringe, an enclosing unit which encloses the injection objective sub stance;
• providing, within the syringe, a pressurizing unit which pressurizes the injection objective substance enclosed in the enclosing unit;
• and
• providing, within the syringe, a flow passage unit which defines a flow passage so that the injection objective substance, which is pressurized by the pressurizing unit, is allowed to inject to the injection target area,
• wherein the pressurizing unit is configured to:
• in a first pressurizing mode, apply a first peak pressure to the injection objective substance in the pressurizing unit in order to allow the injection objective substance to penetrate through a surface of the injection target area,
• reduce the pressure applied to the injection objective substance to a waiting pressure, and
• in a second pressurizing mode, apply a second peak pressure to the injection objective substance having the waiting pressure to inject a predetermined injection amount of the injection objective substance,
• wherein an increase in pressure to the first peak pressure in the first pressurizing mode is generated by the combustion of the ignition charge in the ignition device and wherein an increase in pressure to the second peak pressure in the second pressurizing mode is brought about by the predetermined gas produced by the gas generating agent.
