Abstract
The present invention is directed to a polypeptide which comprises: (i) an Rv1753c protein sequence; (ii) a variant of an Rv1753c protein sequence; or (iii) an immunogenic fragment of an Rv1753c protein sequence. In other aspects the invention is directed to associated polynucleotides, fusion proteins and methods for the treatment or prevention of tuberculosis.

A pharmaceutical composition comprising:
- (a) a polynucleotide encoding an Rv1753c polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence at least 70% identical to the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID No:
- 1;
- and
- (b) a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or excipient.

An immunogenic composition comprising:
- (a) a polynucleotide encoding an Rv1753c polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence at least 70% identical to the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:1;
- and
- (b) an immunostimulant.
