Claims24
A method of forming a digital print on a surface, the method comprising:
- applying drops of a blank ink by a digital drop application head onto the surface,
- attaching first colourants to the drops of the blank ink for forming a digital print, wherein the digital print formed by the first colourants comprises another colour than the blank ink, and wherein second colourants, located vertically above the first colourants, are bonded to at least one of the first colourants and the surface by the drops of the blank ink applied on the surface,
- wherein the first colourants comprise pigment coated wood fibres.
A method of forming a digital print on a surface, the method comprising:
- applying drops of a blank ink by a digital drop application head onto the surface,
- attaching first colourants to the drops of the blank ink for forming a digital print, wherein the digital print formed by the first colourants comprises another colour than the blank ink, and wherein second colourants, located vertically above the first colourants, are bonded to at least one of the first colourants and the surface by the drops of the blank ink applied on the surface,
- wherein the first colourants are macro colourants comprising a mix of fibres and minerals.
A method of forming a digital print on a surface, the method comprising:
- applying drops of a blank ink by a digital drop application head onto the surface, the drops of the blank ink forming a blank ink spot on the surface;
- applying a dry ink layer comprising a first colourant and a second colourant;
- bonding the first colourant to the blank ink spot for forming a digital print, the first colourant comprising a different colour than the blank ink;
- and
- bonding the second colourant, located vertically above the first colourant, with the blank ink spot formed on the surface,
- wherein the first colourant and second colourant are each a pigment coated wood fibre.
