Monitoring and sharing data among server groups

A computer-implemented method comprising:

• obtaining, at a first server from a plurality of servers in a server group, information indicating potential problems associated with the plurality of servers, wherein the potential problems are indicated by a performance characteristic associated with at least one server in the plurality of servers falling outside an allowable range, wherein the performance characteristic is of a hardware component within the at least one server;
• determining that a threshold amount of the information indicating potential problems has been received from the plurality of servers;
• and
• transmitting a message directed to a central controller, the message providing a notification of the potential problems associated with the plurality of servers in the server group.

A system comprising:

• at least one processor;
• and
• a memory device including instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to:
• gather performance data associated with a respective server in a plurality of servers in a server group, wherein the performance data corresponds to a hardware component within the respective server;
• determine that a threshold amount of information indicating a potential problem has been received from the respective server and from other servers in the plurality of servers;
• and
• transmit a message directed to a central controller, the message providing a notification of the potential problem of the respective server.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium including instructions which, when executed by a processor of a computing system, cause the computing system to:

• gather performance data associated with a server in a plurality of servers, wherein the performance data corresponds to a hardware component within the server;
• determine that a threshold amount of information indicating the potential problem has been received from the server and additional servers in the plurality of servers;
• and
• transmit a message directed to a central controller, the message providing a notification of the potential problem associated with the respective server.
