Abstract
A calibration target is disclosed. The calibration target is created such that a color patch is sensitive to drop weight changes.
Claims15
A printer, comprising:
- a print bar with a mount for at least one die;
- a processor to control the printer, the processor coupled to the mount for the at least one die;
- a memory coupled to the processor, the memory having a calibration module loaded therein,
- the calibration module, when executed by the processor, causing the printer to print a calibration target using the at least one die when the die is mounted on the print bar;
- and
- the calibration target having at least one patch of a known color, the known color created from a proportional coverage of primaries that is most sensitive to drop weight changes based on the largest measured color difference between two patches of the same known color printed using a pair of pens to print a large set of samples for each known color.
3 more elements
A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising a calibration module, that when executed by a processor, prints a calibration target, comprising:
- a plurality of known colors where each of the plurality of known colors is created from a proportional coverage of primaries that is most sensitive to drop weight changes based on the largest measured color difference between two patches of the same known color printed using a pair of pens to print a large set of samples for each known color.
A method for printing a calibration target, comprising:
- printing a plurality of known colors with each die in a printer where each of the plurality of known colors is created from a proportional coverage of primaries that is most sensitive to drop weight changes based on the largest measured color difference between two patches of the same known color printed using a pair of pens to print a large set of samples for each known color.
