Apparatus and method for managing an object extracted from image data

A method comprising:

• classifying face feature information of a plurality of faces extracted from image data in units of similar face feature information into feature groups, and managing linking information for linking each feature group with a person group in a dictionary;
• displaying face images based on image data for each person group based on the managed linking information;
• receiving a user's correction instruction about the displayed person group;
• and
• performing an association process of person groups based on the received user's correction instruction,
• wherein if the user's correction instruction is received in the receiving, updating the linking information based on the user's correction instruction and not updating the classification of the feature groups.

A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium that causes a computer to perform a method, the method comprising:

• classifying face feature information of a plurality of faces extracted from image data in units of similar face feature information into feature groups, and managing linking information for linking each feature group with a person group in a dictionary;
• displaying face images based on image data for each person group based on the managed linking information;
• receiving a user's correction instruction about the displayed person group;
• and
• performing an association process of person groups based on the received user's correction instruction,
• wherein if the user's correction instruction is received in the receiving, updating the linking information based on the user's correction instruction and not updating the classification of the feature groups.
