Solenoid transmission hydraulic model method

A method for determining off-temperature accuracy information of a solenoid fluid control valve, the method comprising:

• performing a current sweep at a first temperature, the current sweep comprising supplying, by a variable current source, a first current to a coil of the solenoid fluid control valve, changing the first current, and recording at least one resulting control pressure;
• for at least one command pressure, determining an error in a control pressure at the first temperature based on the current sweep by determining a command current corresponding to the at least one command pressure based on the current sweep, supplying the command current to the solenoid fluid control valve, and measuring a resulting control pressure;
• calculating a metric based on the current sweep;
• and
• determining a pressure error offset for a second temperature based on the metric.
