Abstract
A multi-source radiation generator in which plural radiation sources are arranged in series includes a control unit that controls a dose of radiation emitted from each of the radiation sources depending on positions of the radiation sources, and reduces variation in a radiation dose resulting from differences in positions of the radiation sources by changing an irradiation time, an anodic current value of each of the radiation sources depending on a distance from each of the radiation sources to a subject.
Claims16
A radiation generator comprising:
- an electron source array including a plurality of electron sources each of which is configured to emit electrons;
- a radiation source array having a plurality of radiation sources arranged in series from one array end to the other array end of the radiation source array corresponding to the electron source array;
- and
- a control unit configured to control each of the electron sources in the electron source array so as to form a dose distribution of radiation in the radiation source array,
- wherein the control unit controls the electron sources such that each radiation source sequentially irradiates a common region with a controlled dose of radiation controlled based on a different position of the radiation source and the dose distribution of radiation shows a decreasing profile and an increasing profile in that order from the one array end to the other array end.

A radiography system comprising:
- a radiation generator comprising;
- an electron source array including a plurality of electron sources each of which is configured to emit electrons;
- a radiation source array having a plurality of radiation sources arranged in series from one array end to the other array end of the radiation source array corresponding to the electron source array;
- and
- a control unit configured to control each electron source in the electron source array so as to form a dose distribution of radiation in the radiation source array,
- a radiation detecting device having a detection surface configured to detect radiation emitted from the radiation generator and passed through a subject;
- and
- a control device configured to control the radiation generator and the radiation detecting device in a coordinated manner,
- wherein the radiation source array forms an irradiating area on the detection surface so as to define a field of radiographing and a center of the field of radiographing, and
- wherein the dose distribution of radiation shows an increasing profile in radiation dose in accordance with increasing a distance between each of the radiation source and the center of the field of radiographing.
