Abstract
A fuel package comprising a biomass fire-log bound by an adhesive consisting of a starch and a hydroxide and at least one ignition aid is provided along with a method of manufacturing the same.

A fuel package comprising a biomass fire-log bound by an adhesive consisting of a starch and a hydroxide and at least one ignition aid, wherein the at least one ignition aid is either pressed directly into a depression in the fire-log or is placed into a cup that is disposed within the depression in the fire-log.
A fuel package comprising a biomass fire-log bound by an adhesive consisting of a starch and a hydroxide and at least one ignition aid, wherein the fire-log is broken into two or more pieces in the direction of the fire-log's length or width and the at least one ignition aid is placed between the two or more pieces.
A fuel package comprising a biomass fire-log bound by an adhesive consisting of a starch and a hydroxide and at least one ignition aid, wherein the fuel package further comprises an additive selected from the group consisting of a popping additive and a colorant.
