Transactional integrity assessment

A performance monitoring apparatus comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• memory operatively coupled to the processor and storing computer readable instructions that, when executed, cause the apparatus to:
• identify one or more computing devices to monitor;
• determine a plurality of threshold metric ranges for a plurality of performance metrics;
• measure device performance for the one or more computing devices resulting in a plurality of measured performance metric values;
• for each measured performance metric:
• comparing the measured performance metric value to one or ore corresponding threshold metric ranges;
• and
• assigning metric integrity scores to the one or more computing devices base on the comparison;
• determine an aggregate performance value for the one or more computing devices based at least in part on the assigned metric integrity scores;
• and
• identify a service format for the one or more computing devices based on the aggregate performance value and a type of service session.
