Routing with data version stitching

A computing system, comprising:

• one or more processors;
• one or more memory devices, the one or more memory devices storing computer-readable instructions that when executed by the one or more memory devices cause the one or more memory devices to perform operations, the operations comprising:
• accessing uncontracted graph data modeling a travel segment network;
• progressively contracting the uncontracted graph data for a plurality of contraction phases to generate a plurality of contraction cores corresponding to a plurality of different reach levels, each contraction phase being implemented based at least in part on a reach value associated with the reach level corresponding to the contraction phase;
• generating a plurality of base tile data objects for the full graph data;
• generating a plurality of first tile data objects corresponding to a first contraction core of the plurality of contraction cores, the first contraction core associated with a first reach value;
• and
• generating a plurality of second tile data objects corresponding to a second contraction core of the plurality of contractions cores, the second contraction core associated with a second reach value;
• providing the first tile data objects and the second tile data objects for determining a route from an origin to a destination in response to a request for the route and for outputting the route for display on a display device;
• wherein the second reach value is greater than the first reach value.

One or more tangible, non-transitory computer-readable media storing computer-readable instructions that when executed by one or more processors cause the one or more processors to perform operations, the operations comprising:

• accessing first graph data associated with a first geographic region having a first base area, a first inner padding ring, and a first outer padding ring, wherein the first inner padding ring is associated with a first reach level and the first outer padding ring is associated with a second reach level, the second reach level being greater than the first reach level, the first graph data comprising first full graph data for each of a plurality of cells in the first base area, the first graph data further comprising first contracted graph data associated with the first reach level for each of a plurality of cells in the first inner padding ring, the first graph data further comprising second contracted graph data associated with the second reach level for each of a plurality of cells in the first outer padding ring;
• accessing second graph data associated with a second geographic region having a second base area, a second inner padding ring, and a second outer padding ring, wherein the second inner padding ring is associated with the first reach level and the second outer padding ring is associated with the second reach level, the second graph data comprising second full graph data for each of a plurality of cells in the second base area, the second graph data further comprising third contracted graph data associated with the first reach level for each of a plurality of cells in the second inner padding ring, the second graph data further comprising fourth contracted graph data associated with the second reach level for each of a plurality of cells in the second outer padding ring;
• determining, by the one or more computing devices, a seam between the first geographic region and the second geographic region;
• stitching the first contracted graph data associated with the first inner padding ring to the third contracted graph data associated with the second inner padding ring at a boundary associated with the seam to generate a stitched graph model;
• stitching the second contracted graph data associated with the first outer padding ring to the fourth contracted graph data associated with the second outer padding ring at a boundary associated with the seam to generate the stitched graph model;
• and
• determining a route from an origin in the first geographic region to a destination in the second geographic region based at least in part on the stitched graph model using a contraction hierarchies search algorithm;
• providing, by the one or more computing devices, the route for display on a display device.
