Abstract
A process and apparatus that uses a debutanizer with a side stripper can recover a light stream, an intermediate stream and a liquid stream. One of the intermediate stream and the liquid stream can be recycled to oligomerization or to fluid catalytic cracking.
Claims20
An apparatus for producing olefins comprising:
- an oligomerization zone for oligomerizing an oligomerization feed stream to produce an oligomerate stream;
- a fractionation column in communication with said oligomerization zone, said fractionation column providing a side stream from a side outlet;
- a side stripper column in communication with said side outlet of said fractionation column;
- said fractionation column in communication with an overhead line from said side stripper column.

- a debutanizer column in communication with said oligomerization zone at a feed inlet, said debutanizing column providing a side stream from a side outlet;
- a side stripper column in communication with said side outlet of said fractionation column;
- said debutanizer column in communication with an overhead line from said side stripper column at a side inlet at an elevation above said side outlet.
