The treated region is exposed to and comprises a fatty acid and/or fatty acid salt composition, and has a first hardness. The untreated region and intermediate untreated region have second and third hardnesses, respectively, and have not been exposed to and do not comprise the fatty acid and/or fatty acid salt composition. The first hardness is different than the second hardness and the third hardness. A first core layer comprises the untreated region, a second core layer, disposed thereabout, comprises the intermediate untreated region, and a third core layer, disposed about the second core layer comprises the treated region.
