A pharmaceutical composition, comprising a mixture of a mitochondrial electron transport chain enhancer or an antioxidant and a compound selected from the group consisting of

A method of treating a neurodegenerative disorder, comprising administering to a subject in need thereof a mixture of an effective amount of a mitochondrial electron transport chain enhancer or an antioxidant and an effective amount of a compound selected from the group consisting of
- the mitochondrial electron transport chain enhancer or the antioxidant being Coenzyme Q10 wherein the neurodegenerative disorder is amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
