A solid electrolytic capacitor includes a capacitor element, an anode terminal, and a cathode terminal. The anode terminal is electrically connected to the anode lead of the capacitor element through a pillow portion formed on a surface of the anode terminal. The cathode terminal is electrically connected to the cathode layer of the capacitor element. A method of manufacturing the solid electrolytic capacitor includes steps (a) and (b).
