Backlight unit and display apparatus using the same

A backlight unit comprising:

• first and second reflectors;
• at least one light source module disposed between the first reflector and the second reflector;
• an optical member disposed at a predetermined distance from the second reflector;
• a first cover configured to come into contact with the second reflector and the optical member;
• wherein the first cover includes:
• a bottom plate;
• first lateral plate disposed to face each other with respect to a first direction of the bottom plate;
• second lateral plate disposed to face each other in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction;
• and
• a plurality of ribs is disposed on an outer surface of each second lateral plate.

A backlight unit comprising:

• first and second reflectors;
• at least one light source module disposed between the first reflector and the second reflector;
• an optical member disposed at a predetermined distance from the second reflector;
• a first cover configured to come into contact with the second reflector and the optical member;
• a second cover coupled to the first cover to support the light source module;
• and
• a third cover coupled to both the first and second covers,
• wherein the first cover includes:
• a bottom plate;
• first lateral plate disposed to face each other with respect to a first direction of the bottom plate;
• and
• second lateral plate disposed to face each other in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction,
• wherein the bottom plate includes at least one inclined surface, and the at least one inclined surface of the bottom plate includes a plurality of inclined surfaces arranged adjacent to each other about at least one inflection point and having different curvatures.
