Abstract
The invention relates to novel oxindole derivatives of general formula (I), wherein the substituents R1, R2, A, B, and Y are defined as in claim 1. The invention further relates to medicaments containing said derivatives, and use thereof for the prevention and/or treatment of vasopressin-dependent diseases.
Claims2
A method for the treatment of at least one condition selected from the group consisting of hypertension, pulmonary hypertension, congestive heart failure, affective disorders, anxiety disorders and/or stress-related anxiety disorders in a patient, and depressive conditions, for the treatment or prevention of stress resulting from withdrawal from one or more of the dependency-causing factors, and/or for the treatment or prevention of stress-induced relapse into the dependencies caused by drugs, medicaments, or other factors, in a patient in need thereof, characterized in that the patient is administered an effective quantity of at least one compound of general formula (I),
- wherein
- A is an aromatic, heteroaromatic, partially aromatic, or partially heteroaromatic mono- or bicyclic ring containing 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10 carbon atoms as ring members, and the ring may also contain as ring members 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 heteroatoms which are the same or different, independently selected from the group consisting of nitrogen, oxygen, and sulfur, and which is substituted with the RA1 radical and which may also be substituted with one, two, or three RA11, RA12, and/or RA13 radicals which, independently of one another and independently of their respective occurrence, are selected from the group consisting of bromine, chlorine, fluorine, CN, CF3, OCF3, OCHF2, OH, O—C1-C4 alkyl, and C1-C4 alkyl;
- RA1 is selected from the group consisting of C1-C4 alkylene-RA2, C0-C3 alkylene-O—C2-C4 alkylene-RA2, and C0-C3 alkylene-NRA3—C2-C4 alkylene-RA2;
- RA3 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and C1-C4 alkyl;
- RA2 is selected from the group consisting of OH, NH2, NH(C1-C4 alkyl), N(C1-C4 alkyl)(C1-C4 alkyl), NH(C2-C4 alkylene-OH), N(C1-C4 alkyl)(C2-C4 alkylene-OH), NH(C2-C4 alkylene-O—C1-C4 alkyl), N(C1-C4 alkyl)(C2-C4 alkylene-O—C1-C4 alkyl), NH(C3-C7 cyclo alkyl), N(C1-C4 alkyl)(C3-C7 cyclo alkyl), NH(C1-C4 haloalkyl), N(C1-C4 alkyl)(C1-C4 haloalkyl), and ring RA4;
- RA4 independently of its respective occurrence is selected from the group consisting of the particular individual radicals
- RA5 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, hydroxy, and optionally substituted C1-C4 alkyl;
- B is an aromatic, heteroaromatic, partially aromatic, or partially heteroaromatic mono- or bicyclic ring containing 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10 C atoms as ring members, and the ring may also contain as ring members 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 heteroatoms which are the same or different, independently selected from the group consisting of nitrogen, oxygen, and sulfur, and may be substituted with one, two, or three radicals RB1, RB2, and/or RB3 which, independently of one another and independently of their respective occurrence, are selected from the group consisting of chlorine, bromine, fluorine, CN, CF3, OCF3, OCHF2, OH, O—C1-C4 alkyl, and C1-C4 alkyl;
- R1 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, bromine, chlorine, fluorine, iodine, CN, CF3, OCF3, OCHF2, O—C1-C4 alkyl, C1-C4 alkyl, C2-C4 alkenyl, and C2-C4 alkynyl;

- and
- RY2 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, phenyl, C1-C6 alkyl, and C3-C7 cycloalkyl,
- wherein RY1 and RY 2 combined, together with the atom to which they are bonded, may also form a 4-, 5-, 6-, or 7-membered saturated or unsaturated carbocyclic ring containing a nitrogen atom, and the ring may contain one or two substituents RY6 and/or RY7 which, independently of one another and independently of their respective occurrence, are selected from the group consisting of fluorine, OH, O—C1-C4 alkyl, phenyl, and C1-C4 alkyl;
- or when RY6 and RY7 occupy adjacent positions, RY6 and RY7 together with the respective C atom to which they are bonded may form a condensed substituted or unsubstituted benzene ring;
- RY3 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and methyl;
- RY4 is a saturated, partially saturated, or unsaturated ring containing 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 C atoms as ring members, and the ring may also contain as ring members 1, 2, 3, or 4 heteroatoms which are the same or different, independently selected from the group consisting of nitrogen, oxygen, and sulfur, and which may be substituted with one or two radicals RY8 and/or RY9, where RY8 and RY9 independently of one another and independently of their respective occurrence are selected from the group consisting of chlorine, bromine, fluorine, CN, OH, O—C1-C4 alkyl, and C1-C4 alkyl;
