A process includes forming a filter cake from a slurry of emulsion aggregation toner particles and washing the filter cake with an alcohol to create porous toner particles.

A process comprising:
- forming a filter cake from a slurry of emulsion aggregation toner particles;
- and
- washing the filter cake with an alcohol methanol thereby creating porous toner particles.
A process comprising:
- providing porous toner particles by:
- forming a filter cake from a slurry of emulsion aggregation toner particles;
- washing the filter cake with methanol thereby creating the porous toner particles;
- and
- drying the porous toner particles.
