Abstract
An ink jettable underprint composition includes a reversible polymer material, which can reversibly transition between a liquid state and a solid state by reversible cycloaddition reactions, wherein upon cooling, the reversible polymer material transitions from a liquid state to a solid state by reversible cycloaddition reactions within a time period of less than about 10 seconds.
Claims18
A method of ink jet printing, comprising:
- providing an ink jettable underprint composition comprising a reversible polymer material, which can reversibly transition between a liquid state and a solid state by reversible cycloaddition reactions;
- ink jetting the underprint composition onto a substrate;
- ink jetting an image over at least a portion of the underprint composition;
- and
- cooling the underprint composition, whereby the reversible polymer material transitions from a liquid state to a solid state by reversible cycloaddition reactions within a time period of less than about 10 seconds.

A method of ink jet printing, comprising:
- applying an underprint composition onto a substrate, the underprint composition comprising a reversible polymer material, which can reversibly transition between a liquid state and a solid state by reversible cycloaddition reactions;
- forming an image over at least a portion of the underprint composition;
- and
- cooling the underprint composition, whereby the reversible polymer material transitions from a liquid state to a solid state by reversible cycloaddition reactions within a time period of less than about 10 seconds.
