Abstract
The present invention relates to hair treatment compositions and methods. More particularly, the invention relates to hair treatment compositions comprising lipids and creatine. The hair treatment compositions of the present invention may be used to improve the tensile properties of hair, such as hair elasticity and strength.
Claims15
A method for improving the tensile properties of hair comprising
- applying to the hair a composition formulated as a shampoo, a conditioner, or a combination thereof, the composition comprising (a) from about 0.01% to about 3.0% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition of a lipid and (b) from about 0.01% to about 3.0% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition of creatine, wherein the weight ratio of creatine to lipid in the composition is from 2:1 to 1:2 (creatine:lipid).
