Setting television or radio default channel

A method comprising:

• a media signal provider providing a media signal to a media device comprising an output device;
• the media signal provider selecting a first predetermined media channel;
• the media signal provider sending a first signal to the media device such that:
• after the first signal is received by the media device, the media device automatically causes the output device to output the first predetermined media channel when the media device receives a first request to turn the output device on and one or more transmissions currently being outputted on the first predetermined media channel are outputted on the output device in response to receiving the first request at the media device;
• the media signal provider selecting a second predetermined media channel;
• and
• the media signal provider sending a second signal to the media device such that:
• after the second signal is received by the media device, the media device automatically causes the output device to output the second predetermined media channel when the media device receives a second request to turn the output device on and one or more transmissions currently being outputted on the second predetermined media channel are outputted on the output device in response to receiving the second request at the media device.

A method comprising:

• a media signal provider providing a media signal to a media device comprising an output device;
• the media signal provider selecting a first predetermined media channel;
• the media signal provider sending a first signal to the media device such that:
• after the first signal is received by the media device, the media device automatically causes the output device to output the first predetermined media channel when the media device receives a first request to turn the output device off and one or more transmissions currently being outputted on the first predetermined media channel are outputted on the output device in response to receiving the first request at the media device;
• the media signal provider selecting a second predetermined media channel;
• and
• the media signal provider sending a second signal to the media device such that:
• after the second signal is received by the media device, the media device automatically causes the output device to output the second predetermined media channel when the media device receives a second request to turn the output device on and one or more transmissions currently being outputted on the second predetermined media channel are outputted on the output device when the output device turns on in response to receiving the second request at the media device.

A method comprising:

• a media signal provider providing a media signal to a media device comprising an output device;
• the media signal provider selecting a first predetermined dwell period of time;
• and
• the media signal provider sending a first signal to the media device such that:
• after the first signal is received by the media device, the media device automatically causes the output device to output a media channel when the media device receives a first request to turn the output device off, and in response to receiving the first request at the media device, one or more transmissions currently being outputted on the media channel are outputted on the output device for the first predetermined dwell period of time before the output device turns off.
