Abstract
A computer-implemented subject monitoring method is provided. The method includes providing an online-monitoring agent configured for monitoring a personal computing device, receiving identifying information associated with at least one of an account, email address, site, and service from the personal computing device via the online-monitoring agent, and monitoring via a network the at least one of the account, email address, site, and service based on the identifying information received via the online-monitoring agent.
Claims38
A computer-implemented monitoring and reporting method comprising:
- receiving via a network identifying information associated with at least one of an account, email address, site, and service associated with a particular subject;
- receiving a designation of a peer of the subject;
- monitoring communications for bullying content between the designated peer and the subject on the at least one of the account, email address, site, and service associated with the subject;
- evaluating by a server on the network, whether or not a relationship exists between the peer and the subject based on at least one of the peer having access permission to the subject's account data and the peer and the subject being friended in a social network;
- determining how many parties mutually have access permission to the account data of the peer and the subject;
- determining how many mutual friends are in common between the peer and the subject;
- determining how frequently parties involved in bullying communicate;
- determining topics of communications having bullying content;
- determining a severity level of the bullying content;
- determining a frequency of communications having bullying content;
- and
- storing a time activity history of the communications;
- retrieving via the at least one of the account, email address, site, and service an indication of at least one monitored communication having bullying content between the peer and the subject;
- providing to a user a listing of the at least one monitored communication having bullying content between the peer and the subject;
- and
- storing in the network, the at least one monitored communication and the identifying information of the peer when the user selects the communication from the listing.
A computer activity monitoring and reporting system comprising at least one computing system including at least one memory comprising instructions operable to enable the at least one computing system to perform a procedure comprising:
- receiving via a network identifying information associated with at least one of an account, email address, site, and service associated with a particular subject;
- receiving from a user a designation of a peer of the subject;
- monitoring communications for bullying content between the designated peer and the subject on the at least one of the account, email address, site, and service associated with the subject;
- evaluating by a server on the network, whether or not a relationship exists between the peer and the subject based on at least one of the peer having access permission to the subject's account data and the peer and the subject being friended in a social network;
- determining how many parties mutually have access permission to the account data of the peer and the subject;
- determining how many mutual friends are in common between the peer and the subject;
- determining how frequently parties involved in bullying communicate;
- determining topics of communications having bullying content;
- determining a severity level of the bullying content;
- determining a frequency of communications having bullying content;
- and
- storing a time activity history of the communications;
- retrieving via the at least one of the account, email address, site, and service an indication of at least one monitored communication having bullying content between the peer and the subject;
- providing to a user a listing of the at least one monitored communication having bullying content between the peer and the subject;
- and
- storing in the network, the at least one monitored communication and the identifying information of the peer when the user selects the communication from the listing.
