Light emitting device, drive control method thereof, and electronic device

A drive control method for a light emitting device, the light emitting device comprising (a) at least one data line, (b) at least one pixel connected to the data line, (c) a common electrode, (d) a data driver applying a first voltage to the data line, and (e) an ammeter connected to the common electrode at a first end of the ammeter, wherein the pixel comprises a pixel drive circuit and a light emitting element, in which (a) the pixel drive circuit includes a first transistor electrically connected to (i) the data line and (ii) a first end of the light emitting element, and (b) a second end of the light emitting element is connected to the common electrode, and the drive control method comprising:

• applying a first set voltage as the first voltage to the data line from the data driver, wherein the first set voltage has a potential such that a forward bias voltage is applied between the first and second ends of the light emitting element via the first transistor;
• and
• measuring a current value of a detection current flowing from the data driver to the ammeter via the data line, pixel drive circuit and light emitting element of the pixel, and common electrode by the ammeter.
