Abstract
The present invention provides a white organic light-emitting element high in the emission efficiency. In particular, the invention provides a white organic light-emitting element that has an emission spectrum having peaks in the respective wavelength regions of red color, green color and blue color and is high in the emission efficiency. It is preferable to use an electron transport material between a first emission region and a second emission region and more preferable to use a hole block material.
Claims20
A light emitting device comprising:
- a light emitting element comprising:
- a first electrode over a substrate;
- an electroluminescent layer over the first electrode, the electroluminescent layer comprising a first emission region and a second emission region over the first emission region;
- a second electrode over the electroluminescent layer;
- and
- an insulator covering an end portion of the first electrode,
- wherein the second emission region is located apart from the first emission region,
- wherein the first emission region and the second emission region are overlapped with each other, and
- wherein at least one of the first emission region and the second emission region comprises a phosphorescent material.

- a first electrode over a substrate;
- an insulator covering an end portion of the first electrode,
- an electroluminescent layer over the first electrode and the insulator;

- a second electrode over the electroluminescent layer,

- a first emission region over the first electrode;
- and
- a second emission region over and apart from the first emission region, and
- wherein at least one of the first emission region and the second emission region comprises a phosphorescent material.
