(3-aryl-1H-1,2,4-triazol-5-yl)-linked heterocycle derivatives

A method of treating a subject suffering from a psychiatric disorder comprising administration of a therapeutically effective amount of the compound of formula I

• wherein HET-1 is a heteroaromatic group of formula II containing from 2 to 4 nitrogen atoms:
• wherein Y is N or CH,
• Z is N or C,
• and wherein HET-1 may optionally be substituted with up to three R7, R8 and R9 substituents individually selected from hydrogen, C1-C6 alkyl;
• halogen;
• cyano, halo(C1-C6)alkyl;
• aryl, alkoxy and C1-C6 hydroxyalkyl, and wherein * denotes the attachment point,
• Q is phenyl, optionally substituted with one, two or three R2, R3, R4, R5 and R6 substituents, wherein R2, R3, R4, R5 and R6 are each selected independently from hydrogen, C1-C6 alkoxy and halogen;
• or a monocyclic 5-membered or 6-membered heteroaromatic group containing 1 or 2 heteroatoms,
• -L- is a linker selected from —S—CH2—, —CH2—S—, —CH2—CH2—, —CH═CH—,and —C≡C—,
• R1is selected from H, C1-C6 alkyl;
• C1-C6 alkyl(C3-C8)cycloalkyl;
• C1-C6 hydroxyalkyl, CH2CN, CH2C(O)NH2, C1-C6 arylalkyl, and C1-C6 alkyl-heterocycloalkyl,
• and wherein the psychiatric disorder is selected from the group consisting of schizophrenia, schizophreniform disorder and schizoaffective disorder.
