Abstract
First, a position and/or a direction of at least one predetermined first node among a plurality of nodes is determined, and then a position and/or a direction of at least one predetermined second node among the plurality of nodes is determined based on the position and/or the direction of the first node and reference posture information representing a reference posture of an object. Based on the position and/or the direction of the first node and the position and/or the direction of the second node thus determined, the object is displayed on a display device.
Claims20
A non-transitory computer readable storage medium having an information processing program stored thereon executable by a computer of an information processing apparatus for executing information processing instructions for displaying an object, the object formed of a plurality of nodes and present in a virtual space, on a display device, the information processing program instructions causing the computer to perform operations comprising:
- determining a position and/or a direction of at least one predetermined first node among the plurality of nodes;
- calculating a position and/or a direction of at least one predetermined second node among the plurality of nodes, based on a determined position and/or direction of the first node and reference posture information defining a particular predetermined reference posture for the object, said reference posture information specifying a predetermined position and direction for each individual node of the plurality of nodes of the object for the particular predetermined reference posture, the plurality of nodes including the first node and the second node, wherein the position and/or direction of the second node is calculated such that a posture of the object as a whole in the virtual space is close in appearance to that of the particular reference posture;
- and
- displaying the object on the display device based on the determined position and/or direction of the first node and a determined position and/or direction of the second node.
An information processing apparatus for executing information processing for displaying an object, formed of a plurality of nodes and present in a virtual space, on a display device, the information processing apparatus comprising:
- first node controller configured to set a position and/or a direction of at least one predetermined first node among the plurality of nodes;
- second node controller configured to set a position and/or a direction of at least one predetermined second node among the plurality of nodes, based on the position and/or the direction of the first node as determined by the first node controller and reference posture information defining a particular predetermined reference posture for the object, said reference posture information specifying a predetermined position and direction for each individual node of the plurality of nodes of the object for the particular predetermined reference posture, wherein the position and/or direction of the second node is calculated such that a posture of the object as a whole in the virtual space is close in appearance to that of the particular reference posture;
- and
- display controller configured to display the object on the display device based on the position and/or the direction of the first node and the position and/or the direction of the second node.
An information processing system, including at least one computer processor, for displaying on a display device a virtual object present in a virtual space, the object formed of a plurality of nodes, the processing system comprising:
- one or more computer processor configured to set a position and/or a direction of at least one predetermined first node among the plurality of nodes of the object;
- one or more computer processor configured to calculate a position and/or a direction of at least one predetermined second node among the plurality of nodes, based on a determined position and/or direction of the first node and reference posture information defining a particular predetermined reference posture for the object, said reference posture information specifying a predetermined position and direction for each individual node of the plurality of nodes of the object for the particular predetermined reference posture, wherein the position and/or direction of the second node is calculated such that a posture of the object as a whole in the virtual space is close in appearance to that of the particular reference posture;
- and
- a display controller configured to display the object on the display device based on the position and/or the direction of the first node and the position and/or the direction of the second node.
A method implemented using an information processing apparatus having one or more processors and for displaying on a display device a virtual object present in a virtual space, the virtual object formed of a plurality of nodes, the method comprising:
- determining a virtual position and/or direction of at least one predetermined first node among the plurality of nodes;
- calculating, using said one or more processors, a virtual position and/or direction of at least one predetermined second node among the plurality of nodes, based on a determined virtual position and/or direction of the first node and predetermined reference posture information defining a particular predetermined reference posture for the object, said reference posture information specifying a predetermined position and direction for each individual node of the plurality of nodes of the object for the particular predetermined reference posture, wherein the position and/or direction of the second node is calculated such that a posture of the object as a whole in the virtual space is close in appearance to that of the particular reference posture;
- and
- displaying the virtual object on the display device based on a determined virtual position and/or direction of the first node and a determined virtual position and/or direction of the second node.
