Fuel leakage detection system and detection method

A fuel leakage detection system provided in a fuel supply station for detecting fuel leakage when filling fuel into an onboard fuel tank from a filler port of a vehicle via a fuel supply part, comprising:

• a communication part for acquiring data relating to fuel filling of the onboard fuel tank from a vehicle side when the fuel supply part is connected to the filler port;
• a fuel flow rate measurement part, provided in a fuel supply path part on an upstream of the fuel supply part, for measuring a flow rate of fuel flowing to the fuel supply part;
• a fuel flow-out permission part for permitting/stopping the outflow of fuel to the fuel supply part;
• and
• a control unit for controlling the fuel flow-out permission part, wherein
• the control unit further comprises a fuel leakage detection part for detecting fuel leakage when filling fuel to the vehicle based on the fuel flow rate acquired by the fuel flow rate measurement part and on data relating to fuel filling acquired from the vehicle side via the communication part, and the fuel flow-out permission part stops outflow of fuel to the fuel supply part when fuel leakage is detected by the fuel leakage detection part.
