Abstract
An ink set for ink jet recording containing an ink composition containing a pigment, polymer particles, a water-soluble organic solvent, a lubricant, and water and a reaction liquid that forms an aggregate by contacting with the ink composition and an ink jet recording method using the same are provided.
Claims15
An ink set for ink jet recording, comprising:
- an ink composition containing a pigment, polymer particles, a water-soluble organic solvent, a lubricant, and water;
- and
- a reaction liquid that forms an aggregate by contacting with the ink composition,
- wherein the polymer particles are self-dispersing polymer particles,
- wherein the self-dispersing polymer particles contain a constituent unit derived from an aromatic group-containing (meth)acrylate monomer, and the content thereof in the self-dispersing polymer particles is 10% by mass to 95% by mass.
