Image processing apparatus, image processing method, and computer readable medium

A computer readable medium storing a program causing a computer to execute a process for processing an image, the process comprising:

• segmenting an image into regions each having connected pixels;
• setting a representative point representing each of the segmented regions;
• calculating vectors, each constituted of two representative points, on the basis of the set representative points;
• and
• extracting screen ruling and a screen angle used in the image on the basis of distribution of the calculated vectors.

An image processing method comprising:

• segmenting an image into regions each having connected pixels using a segmenting module;
• setting a representative point representing each of the segmented regions using a representative-point setting module;
• calculating vectors using a vector calculating module, each constituted of two representative points, on the basis of the set representative points;
• and
• extracting screen ruling and a screen angle used in the image on the basis of distribution of the calculated vectors using a screen-ruling-and-angle extracting module.
