Location based services in a situational network

A system for providing location based service information, the system comprising:

• a central server configured to identify a demand for a service resulting from an occurrence of a situation, receive information related to an actual or expected availability of the service at a plurality of locations, determine a location of a device corresponding to an individual affected by the occurrence of the situation, determine a nearest service provider for the individual having actual availability of the service and providing a special consideration included in a user profile for the individual, and transmitting, to the device, a notification of a location corresponding to the nearest service provider selected for the individual;
• and
• a database associated with the central server for storing information related to the actual or expected availability of the service at the plurality of locations.
