High flow polypropylene composition

A process for preparing a high flow polypropylene composition, comprising the following steps:

• (i) preparation of a low molecular weight propylene homopolymer with an MFR2 of at least 40 g/10 min;
• (ii) preparation of a high molecular weight propylene copolymer with an MFR2 of not more than 15 g/10 min and having a comonomer content of not higher than 8 wt %;
• and compounding the polymers to receive the final polypropylene composition having an MFR2 of at least 50 g/10 min.

A process for preparing a high flow polypropylene composition, comprising the following steps in any sequence:

• (i) preparation of a low molecular weight propylene homopolymer fraction with an MFR2 of at least 100 g/10 min;
• (ii) preparation of a high molecular weight propylene copolymer fraction with an MFR2 of not more than 10 g/10 min and having a comonomer content of not higher than 8 wt %;
• wherein the fractions are produced in different reactors connected in series and each fraction is produced in the presence of the product produced in the preceding reactor(s) except for the first fraction, resulting in the polypropylene composition having an MFR2 of at least 50 g/10 min.
