Secondary battery, battery assembly, and vehicle equipped with the secondary battery

A battery assembly comprising a plurality of secondary batteries each including

• an electrode body,
• a flat case that houses the electrode body,
• a pressing member that presses the secondary batteries from outside, the secondary batteries being assembled and pressed in a direction of thickness of the electrode bodies by the pressing member,
• wherein at least one of the secondary batteries includes a compressing member that is a thick portion located between an inner surface of the flat case and the electrode body and compresses part of the surface of the electrode body, and
• a film sandwiched between the inner surface of the flat case and the electrode body, wherein the film is partly formed with the thick portion thicker than other portions of the film,
• wherein the surface of the electrode body includes a flat portion and a curved portion, and the compressing member is located at a boundary region between the flat portion and the curved portion of the surface of the electrode body.

A vehicle equipped with a secondary battery, the secondary battery comprising:

• an electrode body;
• a flat case that houses the electrode body;
• a compressing member that is a thick portion placed between an inner surface of the case and the electrode body and compresses part of a surface of the electrode body;
• and
• a film sandwiched between the inner surface of the flat case and the electrode body, wherein the film is partly formed with the thick portion thicker than other portions of the film,
• wherein the surface of the electrode body includes a flat portion and a curved portion, and the compressing member is located at a boundary region between the flat portion and the curved portion of the surface of the electrode body.
