Abstract
Polyurethane coating compositions comprising a mixture of aromatic and aliphatic isocyanate, and a mixture of polyol resin are disclosed. Methods for treating an aged substrate are also disclosed.
Claims18
A polyurethane coating composition comprising:
- a) an isocyanate component comprising:
- 70 wt % to 99 wt % of an aliphatic isocyanate, wherein the aliphatic isocyanate comprises polymeric hexamethylene diisocyanate;
- and
- 1 wt % to 30 wt % of an aromatic isocyanate, wherein the aromatic isocyanate comprises polymeric methylene diphenyl diisocyanate;
- wherein wt % is based on the total solids weight of the isocyanate component;
- and
- b) a polyol component comprising:
- 40 wt % to 80 wt % of a hard acrylic polyol;
- 10 wt % to 40 wt % of a soft acrylic polyol;
- and
- 5 wt % to 30 wt % of a polyester polyol;
- wherein wt % is based on the total solids weight of the polyol component;
- and
- wherein the coating composition cures at room temperature.
