Standoff ballistic protection device

A standoff protection device covering a door, the standoff protection device comprising:

• a mobile panel hinged on hinges, the mobile panel having an axis of rotation about the hinges parallel to an axis of rotation of the door covered by the standoff protection device;
• a connecting rod linking the door to the mobile panel, the connecting rod being linked to the door by a first pivot and linked to the mobile panel by a second pivot, an orthogonal projection of an axis of the second pivot on a plane defined by the door being located between the first pivot and an orthogonal projection of the axis of rotation of the mobile panel on the plane of the door, the mobile panel being positioned facing the axis of rotation of the door;
• and
• a fixed standoff protective panel integral with the door, the fixed panel having a first lateral edge extending beyond an external edge of the door parallel the door's axis of rotation, and having a second lateral edge contiguous with the mobile panel when the door is closed.
