Abstract
There is provided a vaccine for controlling Clostridium perfringens in animals, and particularly necrotic enteritis in poultry. The vaccine may comprise a C. perfringens antigenic polypeptide or variant thereof, a nucleic acid encoding the C. perfringens antigenic polypeptide or variant thereof, or a recombinant cell producing the C. perfringens antigenic polypeptide or variant thereof.

An immunogenic composition for inducing an immune response against C. perfringens in an animal comprising an isolated C. perfringens secreted antigenic polypeptide, a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, and an adjuvant, wherein the antigenic polypeptide comprises an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NO:
- 1, SEQ ID NO:2, SEQ ID NO:7, SEQ ID NO:8, SEQ ID NO:9, and SEQ ID NO:16.
