Abstract
This invention relates to electroluminescent benzofluorenes that are useful in electroluminescent applications. It also relates to electronic devices in which the active layer includes such a benzofluorene composition.
Claims12
A composition compound of Formula I:
- wherein each of R1, R2, and R3 is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, fluoroalkyl, aryl, heteroaryl, diarylamino, dialkylamino, aryl(alkyl)amino, arylthio, alkylthio, arylseleno, alkylseleno, aryloxy, alkoxy, dialkylphosphino, diarylphosphino, dialkylphosphoryl, diarylphosphoryl, and thiophosphoryl.
An organic electronic device comprising:
- a. a first electrical contact layer;
- b. a layer comprising a composition compound of Formula I:
- wherein each of R1, R2, and R3 is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, fluoroalkyl, aryl, heteroaryl, diarylamino, dialkylamino, aryl(alkyl)amino, arylthio, alkylthio, arylseleno, alkylseleno, aryloxy, alkoxy, dialkylphosphino, diarylphosphino, dialkylphosphoryl, diarylphosphoryl, and thiophosphoryl;
- and
- c. a second electrical contact layer.
