Abstract
According to the present invention, there is provided a range of new conotoxin derivatives and methods for synthesizing these analogues and other intramolecular dicarba bridge-containing peptides, including dicarba-disulfide bridge-containing peptides.
Claims67
A dicarba analogue of a conotoxin, wherein a dicarba bridge of the dicarba analog is selected from the group consisting of:
- wherein R1 and R2 are each independently an alkylene group.
A dicarba analogue of a conotoxin, wherein the dicarba analogue is an analogue of a naturally occurring or native conotoxin, with one or more of the bridged cysteine-amino acid residue pairs of the naturally occurring or native conotoxin being substituted with amino acids bearing a dicarba bridge;
- wherein the dicarba bridge is selected from the group consisting of:
- wherein R1 and R2 are each independently an alkylene group.
