Hydrodynamic fishing device

A hydrodynamic fishing device, comprising:

• a plate for developing vertical pressure with changes in attitude of the plate, as the plate passes through a body of water;
• a plate positioning controller;
• a first connection on the plate to which a hook may be connected;
• and
• a second connection on the plate to which a trolling line may be connected, the second connection being pivotally connected to the plate so as to be pivotable in a plane which is normal to the plate;
• the plate positioning controller provided with an upstanding weighting ridge, pivotally mounted to the plate about an axis substantially normal to the plate, manually indexable relative to the plate and biased against the plate;
• interengaging detent members on said plate and said plate positioning controller for controlling movement of the plate positioning controller with respect to the plate in a series of separate adjustment positions,
• whereby, with direct application of manual force, the plate positioning controller is moved and indexed relative to the plate to a plurality of predetermined adjustment positions that establish different paths of travel of the plate as the plate passes through a body of water.
